Polyphon Family Office Events

Bringing Together the Voices Shaping the Family Office Community

The family office world is built on relationships, yet meaningful opportunities for peer-to-peer engagement remain surprisingly rare.

Many of the most important conversations facing family offices today take place behind closed doors. Questions around governance, succession, investment strategy, philanthropy, technology, risk management and next-generation engagement are often explored privately, with limited opportunities to exchange ideas with others facing similar challenges.

Polyphon was created to change that.

Hosted by Somers Partnership, Polyphon is an invitation-only series of private dinners designed exclusively for family office Principals, family members and senior family office professionals.

Each gathering brings together a carefully curated group of peers to explore a topic of strategic importance in an environment that encourages thoughtful discussion, shared perspectives and genuine connection.

More Than an Event

Polyphon is not a conference.

It is not a networking event.

And it is certainly not a sales platform.

Every Polyphon dinner is intentionally designed to be intimate, with attendance typically limited to between ten and twenty guests. This creates an atmosphere where meaningful conversations can take place naturally and where participants feel comfortable sharing experiences, insights and challenges with trusted peers.

Whilst each evening is centred around a particular theme, the true value often comes from the conversations that continue around the table long after the formal discussion has ended.

In an industry where privacy and discretion are paramount, these opportunities to engage openly with fellow family office leaders are both uncommon and invaluable.

Curated Conversations Around Issues That Matter

Every Polyphon dinner is built around a topic that reflects the priorities and challenges currently shaping the family office landscape.

Themes may include governance, succession planning, investment opportunities, philanthropy, family dynamics, operational excellence, technology, cybersecurity, next-generation engagement or other issues relevant to the modern family office.

Each event features a carefully selected guest speaker or subject matter expert who provides insight, perspective and thought-provoking discussion around the chosen theme. However, the purpose is never to deliver a sales presentation.

The role of the speaker is to stimulate conversation, encourage the exchange of ideas and provide a catalyst for deeper discussion amongst attendees, making it a unique experience for our guests.

The Right People in the Room

The quality of any discussion is determined by the quality of the participants. For this reason, attendance at Polyphon is by invitation only.

Every guest is personally selected by Somers Partnership based on their experience, responsibilities and the relevance of the evening's theme to their family office.

Depending on the topic, events may bring together family office Principals, family members, CEOs and CIOs. These groups are not mixed, so when you attend a Polyphon dinner, you know you will be surrounded by people at the same level, allowing for meaningful discussions with kindred spirits.

Our objective is simple: to ensure that every attendee gains value not only from the discussion itself, but from the relationships formed around the table.

A Trusted Environment for Peer-to-Peer Learning

Family offices are often required to navigate complex challenges without a clear roadmap.

Whilst advisers can provide technical expertise, there is enormous value in learning from others who have faced similar situations and can share practical experience. Polyphon provides a forum for these conversations.

It offers an opportunity to hear different perspectives, challenge assumptions, explore new ideas and learn from the successes and lessons of fellow family office leaders.

Many attendees tell us that some of their most valuable insights come not from the formal discussion, but from the candid conversations that emerge between peers.
